You're the Star

It's fantasy football — but the players are real people you actually know.

Most fantasy football is about Premier League millionaires you'll never meet. This isn't that.

Here the player pool is your league — the lads you play against every week. Someone picks you. Score on Tuesday night and somebody's fantasy team goes up. You're the star player.

How it works

1
Your league adds its players
The league admin sets up the real teams and squads.
2
Managers pick a squad
11 real players — 8 starters, 3 subs, and a captain who scores double.
3
Real results, real points
Results go in each week, points land automatically, leaderboard updates.

Not just what happens on the pitch

This started in a MAN v FAT league, where the score isn't only about goals — it's what happens on the scales too.

So leagues can score weight loss alongside football. Lose weight, earn points. Hit a milestone or reach a healthy BMI and you become a BMI BOSS — the players everyone wants in their squad.

Suddenly the bloke who never scores is worth picking. That's rather the point.

Every league scores it their own way

Nothing is fixed. The league admin decides what earns points — goals, clean sheets, man of the match, weight loss, or any mix — and sets the values.

Running a Sunday league with no weigh-ins? Turn weight scoring off and it's ordinary fantasy football, for players you actually know.

Run a league?

Any football league can use this — MAN v FAT clubs, five-a-side, works teams, Sunday league. Free to set up, and you keep control of your own scoring, seasons and squads.

You get your own address to share with your players, like yourethestar.co.uk/yourleague.

Leagues compete against each other too: every manager's points added up, league against league. Resets each 1 July.
